Default Helmet quick release

I've been using these for a while with all of my helmets. You can leave the D-rings in place if you want. I cut them off. Used them on my street and off road helmets and never had any problems with them. You can put on, or take off your helmet with gloves on. Makes gearing up a little easier, and faster. The dealership that I go to has them in stock, or you can order them online from a bunch of different places. Cheap upgrade for your helmet.

Sounds like a great idea, but my head says not to mess with the original design. I may order one just to see how well it works.

They actually exceed requirements for SNELL, DOT, and NIJ.

My first KBC came with one. Was nice, but not the secure feeling the d rings give tho.

That's true. The D-rings do have a nice snug secure feel to them. The clip I guess is for convenience. I haven't had any problems with them, and I like to keep the chinstrap nice and tight. Doesn't make sense to wear a helmet if it won't stay on your head.

I wouldn't mess with the D ring set up. Tried and true, why mess with it?
