Default The good, the bad, the ugly...

The Good: Scorpion Slip-on Oval Exhaust.
Put this on my CBR and the difference in sound on first start...

Even my Dad, who let me borrow his tools, and is a staunch V-Twin, Cruiser, old school guy...said..."Man...that thing actually sounds pretty good."

Louder, but not shriekingly, painfully loud. Very throaty tone...and when at idle...your neighbors will notice a low rumble...
lower and less flatulent than a custom twin.

Rattles the walls...but again...more of a nice, big, velvety vibration.

Best sounding pipe I have ever owned...and I once had a complete Muzzy system..which sounded like crap...
had a brushed finished...all for about $600 in 1994 money.

Other benefits:

It is about 3-5 lbs. lighter than the stock section...and it's nicely finsihed...oval, instead of scrap pipe round.

I haven't done any re-jetting, and with a slip-on...you won't see much in the way of HP gains anyway...

This slip-on is purely aesthetic.

More than worth the $229 price...

The Bad:
Airtech Seat Cowl...

Poor packaging...great start...

No instructions...not even a scribbling as to how to install the thing...

The cowl was not cut evenly from the get go. They must have dropped their F2 mold at the factory and bent it...
or else it was Friday, and some worker's were more concerned about drinking and dancing than making a good
product.

Better enjoy that $100 beer Pedro...

Their website disclaimer PROVES they have had problems before..."You are responsible for drilling and fitting your part...blah, blah..."

Well what the hell did I pay for then?

I can work with fiberglass mat, resin, and a small grinder.

Garbage...and won't personally buy another Airtech product again.

IMO...AVOID!

Well, Tech covered the ugly bit as well..
