Whatever you think will look better. It's your bike and you have to live with it's appearance. Investing in them is a good idea because they can save your plastics in low speed tips.

I just bought a set of motivation frame sliders. Plan on installing them tomorrow. They look stout as hell.

Real Sliders? By the sounds you got the cheap lil things that dont do anything but look ok. A real frame slider is made of delrin, which allows the bike to slide instead of digging into the pavement.

appearance is important to most but sliders aren't a fashion accessory, get the ones that actually do their job not the bling bling crap. As playfulgod said, real frame sliders are made of delrin (a plastic like material). You want a slider that has an aluminum base and a delrin puck. The metal base makes it strong enough to crash in without just snapping off the bike and the delrin puck allows the bike to slide along on the ground while the puck grinds down. A metal puck doesn't grind well and can catch on rough surface and cause the bike to flip.

OH and on the 954 it is part of the motor mount so they are mounted well. I do not know on your bike I am new to the sportbike world.
