Default Why so many 2008 CBR125's?

I am in the market for a used Honda CBR125.. I have found many 2008 CBR125's and I have found one in particular that I am considering buying. I was told by the seller that it was manufactured in 2010. Can anybody explain to me this situation as to why there are so many 2008's on the market and why Honda would manufacture a 2008 model in 2010? What is going on here am I missing something?

its a 08 bike that was registered in 2010, not made in 2010.
honda in 2011 updated the 125, so there were lots of new old stock in showrooms, warehouses and such, that they were doing good deals on prior to the new 2011 model.
