Default CBR125 How much?

There is a dealer here listing new CBR125RR for $1700... less than 1800 out the door. How does that compare with other places?
Considering they were listed for $3500 before, there may be some disillusioned short term owners that feel they've just had their throats cut. The new price undercuts what many of them are listing them for with under 1000 miles on them.
I suppose they must be blowing them out to make room for the new 250.

Wow - I guess I didn't realize Canada had the 125cc available. That's an awesome looking little bike.

According to http://hondacanada.ca/MCPE/Motorcycl...Model=CBR125R9 there wasn't a 2010 model - so I'm assuming the dealers you're referring to are selling leftover 09's. Looks like there's a $1,275 manufacturer rebate on the table off the $3500 MSRP on remaining 09's. Given that, the dealer is only knocking about $525 off their retail price, and probably applying the Manuf. credit as well - for a bike that they have probably just about had to pay for in full , depending on what sort of floorplan agreement they have with Honda.

well, if you can deal wit the fact its only a 125.. then ya grab it. The best deal i found was two summers a ago i picked up a MINT 96 cr250 for 700 bucks. had a flywheel weight which made it trailable and new rubber and top end. God that thing ripped it up. To bad i sold it, (good thing tho, newbs getting their ego's crushed) going to essentially trade the quad for another one this spring

My commute to work is about 8 blocks. Some of the time I just walk. The 125 would just be for shytes and giggles. When I want to play with serious hp I can always fire up the 1000rr.
The problem for me is I'm too close to work to want to fire up the 1000rr. The engine and tires hardly warm up and its time to park. The 125 was built for this scenario.
Right now a co-worker and I are trying to contact the dealer and make a deal for two of them.

I didnt realize they were available in Canada either. Not that Im interested in one as anywhere I have to go is long distance, (the joy of living in the middle of nowhere), but I wished those and the 250's were offered in the US. We don't any of the cool stuff here. I've always wanted an aprilia 250, but nearly impossible to get here without paying way more than they are worth.

I say go for it.
