something new followed me home saturday
I swear my bike collection multiplies anytime I go out of town. my CBR is gone now, and in its place, are TWO 86 Ninja 1000R's, and my friend's 73 RD250 with a junked piston(this one is only temporarily here)
the ninjas are something else for certain. HUGE, heavy, and definitely in need of some work to make them go again. I've only got 6 boxes of motor, transmission and other misc parts, minus good connecting rods, cranks and cases, but I've fortunately been able to rebuild one motor here.
From the looks of it, someone neglected the crap out of the motor, and it had a literal meltdown because of the motor oil being pretty much gone and burned up. theres a moral to this somewhere I think. CHANGE THE OIL REGULARLY. pics to follow when I've got the motor running.
