I know the seller. He is a good friend of mine. I was with him in Japan when he bought the bikes. These bikes were never imported into the USA, and the two he has were for the JDM (Japanese Domestic Market). Getting spares is kind of difficult, but It can be done.

The big difference between the Japanese spec and anything that would come to the USA is the kmh speedo and lack of reflectors on the forks/tail. The headlights, tail lights, turn signals, tires, wheels and all the other stuff bears the DOT symbol so they are GTG for the USA.

 

well my buddy has taken the plunge, $2k , got both of the bike. one was strip and i mean stiiip down way to its engine& frame

 

Yep. I think he was going to do a restore but just doesn't have the time. I have 2 VFR400s. These little bikes are a real hoot on the track.

 

yeah when we went to go pick it up, they guy was very chilled yet some what looked sad that his bikes are going, but he also said he was moving or something and is planning to get a Busa

 

Do me a favor....go back and punch him in the face for saying he is getting a busa!
