I think cry is closest!

It was (is) a great bike, far better than I expected it to be - really good to ride, every bit as enjoyable as the Blade but for different reasons.

I hope it will ride again, I'm gonna start working on it today - one of the footpeg mounts snapped off in the crash which I had welded on Monday, I also have the essential parts I need to get it back on the road but it ain't gonna be pretty.....

That's the one, the one before the single sided swingarm. Mine is 21 years old....

They are no-where near that much over here, a really nice one should not be more than £1200 - £1300 max.

I got a really good deal on mine, £750. Ropey ones don't sell for much less than that! Mine had just been serviced, new fork oil, brake / clutch fluid, brake seals, tyres, chain and sporckets so nothing left to do but ride it.... until I came off! Ah well could've been a lot worse.

LOL!

From what I have seen, used bike prices do seem higher in Oz than over here, yet new bike prices seem comparable (depending on the exchange rate of course).

Question for you - how did the VFR compare to the CBR1000? I only ask as a 1000 was one of the other possibilities for me - it's just that the VFR came up first and the V4 engine is supposed to be one of those things you 'must try' (I've gotta say it is a good engine, even compared to my Blade!).

VFR- lighter,16,000kms valve check/clearence.Fuel/Great
Solo /2 up - Great

Easy to get on the main stand.

My last ride on this mag m/c was to Phillip Isle in 1990.

Love the VFRs! Got a buddy that has an old VFR that just keeps on going. They seem to be the "every-bike", if you will. In that, they're great for commuting, wknd twisty rides, roadtrips, & even trackdays.
