I bet the gas mileage on that is hard to beat. Looks good. I'd own one.
yep, even with Keihin PE28 carb now (stock was 26mm vaccuum Keihin), I can still get 58-60 mpg...

with totally stock configuration, you can go as low as 92-94 mpg...

I'd reeeaaaaally like to move on to a bigger bike; I've always wanted a used '03 600RR...

but considering the traffic here (my town's traffic would definitely redefine the phrase "traffic jam"), the bumpy roads, high rate of motorbike theft, fuel economy, etc etc... I guess the 600 wouldn't be coming any soon... hehehehe =p

Oh yeah...... tell me about your place traffic. One of the worst traffic I had been too. I agree with you too that the roads there are not soo nice either.

this is the kind of traffic that you'll see everyday in my town:

*pictures courtesy of www.picturescolourlibrary.co.uk and www.epa.gov

on mornings, afternoons (during lunch hours and end-of-school-hours), and evenings, it can get 2 or 3 times even worse than that.

imagine riding a 600 in that kind of elbow-to-elbow-traffic?
oh, not to mention that the air temperature gets around 86 degree F middays. even when the sun is not-so-bright.

yup, there were actually a few other bikes at the track... there was R1, R6, CBR 1000RR, 600 and 750 Gixer, Duc 748, 1098, and 999 as well... also some other smaller bikes, 150-200cc's... didn't take pictures of them though...
