Default Advice on an r1

Bought a 2003 R1 limited edition black with red ghost flames flawless, no issues that I can see at all looks like it just left the showroom
know where near stock either
sold my f4 bought this with the money from it, now does anyone have experience with these bikes? the bars are extreamley low and its not fun to ride for very long, and i commute 60 miles a day year round.
is there a way to raise the bars? And whats the price difference for parts compared to a cbr I dont really think I was ready for a 1000, but the deal was a know brainer its worth double what I paid.May trade it for a 600rr depending.

I guess the 05 r1 was the most comfortable out of a lot of bikes. Only had it for a year do to moving. But not a single prob with it. I will be looking at the R6 this spring for my new track bike

It looks very nice. Obviously not stock, like you said.

If you don't feel comfy with the R1 either sell it and get the 600rr or trade for a 600rr. I rode with some dudes that had R1's and they loved 'em never complained. ESPECIALLY if it is uncomfortable and you use it as a 'commuter', you HAVE to get something that is comfy.

Ya I think I will have to use it for now, if I went to sell it the bike prices have dropped for this year, so I would have to sit on it for awile anyways. Ill ride it threw the winter never know maby ill start to like it
Starting to think it has aftermarket bars on it this may be the factor of why it sits soo low

your just used to how relaxing the cibber is compared to the r6/r1. all our cibbers are nice and relaxing but then you hop on the r1 and its like wtf i'm constantly doing push ups haha. I rode my buddies r6 and anothers r1 and its hard as hell to ride long distances
