Default 2008 Ninja 250

Well me and my girlfriend both took our MSF course and upon passing she decided to get a bike. So the next day we found her a black ninja 250 that is going to be delivered to the dealership sometime this month and we put a down payment on it. The only problem we are having is that its looking like its going to be a little too tall for her, the seat height is 30.7 when the bikes and the course were 27.3 and she was tip toeing them as it was. We did manage to find a ninja 250 for her to sit on and she was only able to tip toe the one side and couldnt touch the ground on the other side, so this bike is appearing as though we will have to lower it. From what I have read lowing a bike decreases the stability of it, and as of right now there is no way to lower the front on these bikes. I am going to buy the zx10r lowering links since from what I read they fit right onto the new ninjas. Any opinion or other options anybody has would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hmmm...on most other bikes you can usually drop the forks in the trees a bit....and the shock should have some ride height ability...If not search around for either a lower or adjustable one. Should be a cheap easy fix for her.

When lowering a bike you must drop the front end about .25" lower then the front to make it handle right. You should be able to loosen the tree and slid the forks up a bit-just make sure they are dead even or the bike will pull to one side like a SOB.

I've seen the new 250R, its upper tree doesnt look like the forks slide all the way thru. I'm going to have the same issue when my GF gets hers after she takes the MSF.

I'll have to look the next time I see one up close. I can't flat foot both feet on my F4 and i'm fine on it. I guess it's the price you pay to be a short sport biker.
