I agree, lets see how many hands/states this thing can pass through. Heck... maybe we could get all lower 48!! What's the status of the sprocket?

Last night I put the sprocket in Gunpowder Falls State Park in MD... I'm flying to Texas for work so I will post up pics and directions later on tonight.

Cool, I'll swing up from DC to pick it up and move it on. Anyone in VA or WV looking for the sprocket to head their way? Let me know!

Got the sprocket last Tuesday night from a park in Akron, PA...

myself and two buddies rode up and got it. One of them took it into work and engraved our names/location on it like it had been done before.

The sprocket is now in Gunpowder State Park near Hereford and White Hall, Maryland. If you go to the southeast corner of the park, York Road (Route 45) parallels Route 83... Right outside the park and off of York Road, Bunker Hill road branches off (39 36' 8.38"N 76 39' 34.73"W)... you go under Route 83 and just keep going into the park. WARNING- the road gets kinda crappy near the end.... it's paved for most of the way but turns to just gravel with some pot holes. We also saw some deer dart out in front of us so watch you speed...

At the end of the road, you will be in a parking lot.. look for the gate at the north end. Start hiking down the trail a bit.. maybe a quarter mile.

Keep going until you see a smaller trail branch off the main trail... it goes off to the right.

Take the trail and you come out into a clearing with a paved path...

look left and see the bathrooms. Walk up the trail towards the bathroom.

Pass the bathroom and see a wide grass trail head straight and to the right.... walk down there.

Get to the park sign/flag pole. Look for the large tree behind it...

With your back to the tree (see pic for direction)

look for a smaller tree in the tree line... it has some knots/growths on it.

Right behind this is the sprocket... kinda hidden.

Now go get it! I had a blast... hope you do too.

Just a reminder -- posts that have nothing to do with actually moving the sprocket will be deleted.

EDIT: Except for mine

I think this sprocket made it from east coast to mid east coast.

well seeing as no one moved it... i'm looking for somewhere to cruise in the next week or so... i might as well ride and pick it up AGAIN, and move it even further seeing as no one is near it apparently.

Let me ask where I should place it so that someone else will get it this time? Does anyone just want to meet up and hand it off?
