Yes yes and yes yes. Especially the cops. 8hrs or more a day on a bike working wrecks. They if anyone should know the importance of gear. Oh but it's too hot is the weakest excuse out there.

If I see 3 riders a week in full gear it is a lot, usually less than that, the cops in this town wear short sleeves are they squids? What about the Pagans and the Warlocks, all squids?Does that mean that 99% of the riders out there are squids?

Here is my thing...if you have been riding for years and years and don't jack off when riding with light gear...your ok. I know plenty of guys who are very serious about riding and if its really hot...they will wear helmet and gloves only when commuting...but if they are going out for a nice ride, to stunt, or hit some twisties...they are in full gear...which makes sense. And it's NEVER too hot to ride...just stoplights f'ing SUCK. I think the ones getting their panties all ruffled up about what others on bikes are doing are just wasting their time...this is almost as gay of an argument as the "what makes you a ricer" thread that i saw on another forum.

No sir. I don't wear gear because of something I might do. I wear gear for the blind *** cager on the cell phone. Or that guy that has to get to wherever as fast as possible. What I might do to put me on the ground is the least of my concerns. Long ride, short hop, work commute, Heat of summer, coldest winter the pavement is just as hard and unforgiving. The poles and street signs are just as hard and the cagers are just as blind. Dress for the crash not the ride.

RE: you might be a squid if.......
can we get more squid sighting pictures and less squids trying to explain why there are not squids??? some how i new the flow of funny pictures would be interupted by the "nolo intellius squidius", by reacting to the captured family member pictures. but your reaction tells the whole story squidius!!
