Very true, but I dated my Ex-wife for 5 years, engaged for 3, married for 9. We lived together after our second year of dating...she still wigged out and left. So the moral of the story is you never know.

 

Tommy and woo, so sorry to hear of your heartbreaks...it must have been awful and such a waste of precious years...the knots in the stomach are kinda your higher self awareness telling you there's a problem...a sixth sense if you like...we should always listen to our gut, our intuition...

There are always going to be exceptions but I do think that the two 20-23 year olds who rush into a quickie marriage are not going to last as long as the late twenty or early thirty somethings who date properly for a couple of years, really get to know each other and then marry...just a question of stacking the odds in your favour...

but like said there's always exceptions and you just never know...I think if you can find true love all the heartbreak in the end is worth it but you are very definitely better off alone than with the wrong partner who doesn't care about you...that's more lonely than actually being alone....

 

My heartbreak lasted two weeks, then I was in Cozumel (diving, drinking, with buddys from NY). But before the reality of single life caught up to me my parents went into the hospital,2 months later my Mother died (after a long illness), a month later my Father (another long illness). This was May 2005 through september. September I then spent in the Hamptons, Montauk, NYC, drinking like a rockstar and eating lobster. It was such a strange feeling to be alone in this world that I almost felt free. Then I realized what a strange journey life is, and the good and the bad make us the people we are.

Heartbreak from the loss of a relationshipis a funny thing if you've never experience true sadness and pain. Since I experienced both so close together all I can say is heartbreak ain't so bad.

So as far as the dweeb from the TV show, I am happy for him, he has an opportunity to meet someone nice and have some fun.

but you get asked those q's before you get there... so if you had cheated on ur husband... and they asked you if you cheated on him as one of your q's, wouldnt you just not do the show?
its sad bc to her, the chance of the money was worth the chance of havin to say that in front of him...
