Actually not smaller but it does feel lighter. I sat on the 1kRR Repsol the other day (at the dealership) and it felt a little long, NOt big per se, but long. I 'm pretty shure I would be comfortable riding it but I wouldn't change my 600 for the wold. The 1k repsol is sexy as hell, and has bragging right allritght but I still think the power of a1k is exesive for the street. The 600 is plenty fast for me, and comfortable too.

I strongly disagree.

Your newer 600 has excessive power for the street. They can hit the highest speed limits in the country in first gear.

I mean isn't excessive power the point of a sportbike?

Anyways, however much power is used on the street comes down to the rider not the bike.

And a 1000 is actually a better "street only" bike because it has enough torque that you don't have to rev it like crazy to get going. Which in turn puts excessive power to the street.

I disagree with that.

I dont know, some Interstates the speed limit is 75...my bike cant god that fast in first gear....It MIGHT be excessive for the street...but I dont think i could take anything less now....ah who am I kidding I would ride a 250 if thats all I had.....I love being on 2 wheels

eh? im like 5' 10" and 200lbs...not a fattie either. so i feel like im too short for the newer bikes...but in no way are they "cumbersome" to handle if that makes any sense?

i just like to be able to flat foot my bike at a stop...hmmm.....if youre in the same position, it makes sense...hahah

I don't think my bike will ever feel small to me since I am 5.8 and about 155. I can flat foot both feet on my bike. Somwtimes my bike looks smaller then it use to to me, but feels the same size.
