ya, i have not played much of anything lately at all. we only ever play rock band anymore, and thats only when people come over...which is all the time, but the only game we play ya.

 

i dont even bouther getting on XBL any more..my internet company is HORRIBLE! and they should burn..i cant even play 20 seconds of game without lagging for 2 minutes..and then just getting kicked out.

Def. get xbox live gold. The downloads as mentioned earlier do cost money, cept some of them are free. On GH you asked about the songs.. abt 1/3 of them are free and the rest cost money. Halo has the heroic map pack for free but not the legendary map pack. XBLA has a buncha demos you can get for free :P Some nights when I get bored I just surf through demos for hours.

if ur gonna hard wire it to ur router all u do is plug the ethernet into the back of ur xbox and an ethernet into ur router. no wireless adapter.

u get a month free of GOLD membership, then it will degrade to a silver. (u actually get like 3 - 1 month gold trials)
with silver u will still be able to download extra content aka DLC (downloadable content) but most DLC costs microsoft points.
u can just buy a card from walmart that will have 1600 microsoft points for about $20.

also if u decide u want to play online regularly, i would suggest buying a card for that as well, because if u pay with ur credit card thru the xbox, ive heard theyll automatically renew ur subscription when ur time is up.
and get the year membership. its like $50 for the year, rather than $8 a month if u do it monthly

i would suggest getting gold. it just depends on how much u like video games.
i love playing online because it never gets old, its never reptitive. obviously no two games are the same when everyone is live.

 

I'd say you can borrow my account and test the waters if you want.. they don't allow xbox live in the dorms here so I've just been sitting on a service that I paid for a year ago and not able to even use it.

this is my first year here (Purdue) and my 4th year of college overall, so i know NO ONE here.
i do so much hw and studying and STILL have extra time to play xbl, lol.
part of that is bc idk any riders here, so i dont ride, and my only few friends are in the MET program as well, so we just do homework together (yea its a blast, haha)

i would probably go crazy if i didnt have a connection to the OUTSIDE WORLD!! haha.
