Default Write Off...?

got in an accident bike got nicely smashed up (01 F4i) there is considerable damage to it, just wondering what needs to be broken before they will write it off. I don't want the bike back its too much of a mess just wanting to ensure they write it off. I know its not right but who wants a bike with a $4000+ insurance claim on it to get repaired and returned.

thought about that but wasnt sure since all the damage is basically all up front its not like the frame is real easy to get at hahaha only damage down the sides are to the ferrings and my exhaust and pegs. Gotta do something tonight though it goes in tomorrow to get looked at by the bike shop

I cant find a list for any OEM parts for the bike, only aftermarket haha guess we'l find out tomorrow what the shop says. Maybe i can persuade them into getting it written off if I buy my new bike from them haha see what they say.

it's got to be around 70 % of the bikes NADA book value. So look that up and that will give ya an idea. I just went throught the same thing

well looked into it, apparently book value on it is around 5000-5500 depending on condition etc. So 80% of that is between 4000-4400. Been in the shop all week and yet still they haven't hardly looked at it. Hoping to get the word today or tomorrow and crossing the fingers pick out a new one this weekend haha. Thanx for the help guys just waiting on ICBC now to make up their minds to write it off or not
