Why do they put fenders on in the first place?

Kawasaki Australia tried to import the Ninja 250R with a skinny little stalk that did nothing but hold the required reflector. It was rejected and they had to do a quick fix before they could sell them, so they stuck what looked very much like a UK number plate back on them - and it was the first thing everyone took off.

I'm with this guy. Plus many integrated tail lights and/or fender eliminators make your blinkers pretty dark hard to see. And that goes against a basic 'rule' of riding: make sure people can see you, and your intentions.
