Where you live is truly beautiful, I've never thought I ever wanted to visit the UK, but your starting to change my mind...looks like a cool place. I'm a country boy from the sticks of CT, Litchfield county, and I prefer country living to city life, although I do enjoy visits to the city.

Which of the 6 houses in that pic is yours? lol

And castles are so cool, especially when they are REAL castles.

Jules, I said it before and ill say it again... Amazing!! looks fairytaleish (word?) Is there a local "city" to go for work or is everyone in the farming industry?

J-Funk, Theres actually quite a few castles in "upstate" NY.. One ive been to a few times is abandond (sp) and is HUGE.. In Roscoe, NY
Ill try and dig up some info on it and PM you to avoid further thread jacking of juliets thread

I have the feeling the castles in the Europe might be a tad bit older than the ones here in the US.

I wouldnt bet against you, Just telling j-funk he doesnt have to fly to europe to visit castles, Some people
are unaware of what is so close to them (roughly 2 hrs from CT)

I've been all over france and visited numerous castles, including Mont Saint Michel...and your right they dont compare

Sorry Jules...

My home

I know too big for one person. [ul][*]I have the best neighbors[*]Wasn't selling for the price the Ex wanted[*]The 3.5 cats need the space. [/ul]Other than that, I think I would be just fine in a much smaller home.

Those falls look sweet, I'd ride from CT to see that.

We have castles in CT too, Gillette Castle and such, but they are not REAL castles like what Jules is talking about, they were built to stop real medieval seiges and probably have torture dungeons and damsels in distress and stuff...

...your right, it is like a fairy tale.

Jules, do you know Frodo and Sam? lol
How far is it to Mordor? lol

Ok, I'll stop with the LOTR questions. sorry...
