when i lived in the panhandle, i rode in the triple digits often. like others have said, with a mesh jacket and as long as you're moving, it's not too bad. also, for sportbikes, they need open air and they need to move a little bit in order not to burn up.
in traffic, it's murder, but going down the road in the open wind, it's more than okay.
id say its fine so long as you aren't feeling dizzy and don't feel you're a danger on the road.

Geez, not many of you blokes would do well in an Aussie summer!
However, I agree with the other posters, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate and wear a vented jacket to allow the breeze to blow through.
My partner and I both wear 2 litre camelbaks filled with water or sports drinks for any journey longer than a couple of hours in Spring/summer/autumn. Temperatures across the Hay Plain, or up through the semi-outback - Broken Hill way - on a journey to Sydney or further north it is not uncommon for the mercury to hit 45 or above (114 F). Here in phx, riding in the summer feels like heating the oven up to full temp, sticking your head inside and using a hair dryer to blow the oven heat in your face. So hot the bike is running between 215-220 at 80mph [yet somehow won't go past 228 when not moving] It hasen't stopped me yet unless Im lazy or just washed my truck
