Almost all the 600cc bikes have very similar power numbers. The important thing you should look at is how useable that power is on the street. Also, what is the power to weight ratio? 2 bikes with the same power: 1 is lighter than the other one.... the lighter one will go faster.
Read every magazine about sport bikes, and they all agree that the Honda CBR 600RR is the best middleweight sport bike! I saw the '07's in the showroom the other day, and they are soooo sweet. I had to clean my pants when I got home.
