What is your pet peeves about being a motorcycle rider!
For me, I still lock my bike up even though I have full-coverage insurance. I don't know why, but I guess it is just a sense of security. However, this is becoming a bad habit because now that school is in full swing, carrying my locks, books, and shoes in my backpack it becoming difficult because I am using a backpack that is full to the brim and I may have to start looking for a cargo sack that can hold a lot more.
I instantly became a gear ***** after I got a motorcycle (I actually was so happy when I got my permit a year ago, that I started buying gear before even had a bike). I now have 5 jackets, 5 pairs of gloves, 4 helmets (not to mention I have 3 extra shields to make my tally a total of 7 including the clear), 2 pair of boots, and a pair of knee guards. I am only a street rider/commuter--no track riding for me.
Having a motorcycle and performing regular maintenance helps me keep up the maintenance up on my car because I do the oil changes at or around the same time. However, I still don't clean my car as much as I clean my bike.
I think I have more road rage now because I realize how crazy drivers are and how they don't watch for anything other than other cars--forgetting about two wheeled vehicles!
Okay, I am typing too much, so that's it for now.
So, what are your pet peeves?

During the week if its nice I ride 80 miles round trip back in forth to work racking up 100's of miles weekly and my biggest problem other then people in cars is the fact riding a lot makes my back sore as hell. I had two cars accidents about 12 years ago and had some theropy but riding agravates my back. I am currently working with my DR to controll my pain. Anyone else have to suffer a little to ride regularly?

I've got to many peeves to list (& the older you get the pi**sed off you become
One peeve that I got reminded off yesterday. The signs at servo's that tell you motorcyclists to take your helmets off, I have a flip up style helmet, have had them for years, (I wear glasses so its a lot less stuffing around), so they can see your face, but still have had some pimply faced pre-pubescent 16 YO tell me to take it off, like I'm standing in a queue at the pay counter, with my wallet in my hand & I'm going to rob the place
No signage at the the servo's to say "Please remove balaclava & ski mask's & keep hand gun's holstered".

Putting $6 worth of gas on my credit card because I forgot to grab any cash.
Philadelphia doesn't repair potholes until they become sinkholes (but getting great swerve practice)
Having to pay car valet rates to park my bike on the sidewalk in front of the club. I almost smacked the lil ****e with my helmet. He demanded $12, the same as a car he'd have to park, so I could pull my bike on the sidewalk. Bouncer told him to leave me be cause I did the owner a favor.

Those silly things that car drivers never use...oh what are they called again? I remember now, blind spots. My bike and truck came stock with them so I use/check them all the time...I guess most vechicles, especially here in San Diego don't come with them as standard equipment which would explain why most drivers don't check them.

I got cut off by a white van today while coming home in traffic. He then proceeded to block my filtering path. Then when the lights changed to green. He didnt move as he was busy texting someone on his phone (i could see him through the back windows). That really got my blood boiling.
I hate when other filtering bikers come right up your **** (i know it sounds wrong) as if to say 'hurry up, get out my way'. Id pull over if I could but sh*t would you believe it theres cars either side of us.
I also dont like taking my helmet off when fueling the bike up. Im right infront of them yet they wont serve me until I take the helmet off.
I hate the d*cks that throw crap out their car windows. If I had ninja reflex's I catch it and drive up to hand it back to them. Alas, I dont so Ill stick to flashin the light and giving the 'wtf?' arm gesture.
Bad driving in general makes me want to claim a few wingmirrors in the name of anger management.
I also dislike how my bike has no fuel guage.
EDIT: +1 on bugs, esp how they flock to you in traffic.
