Default What is your favorite regional food?

Considering that we are spread across the country and the planet, there are certain foods that are generally unique to your area. Do you have a favorite? Name your region, too.

Southeast:

Can't stand grits! [:'(]

slow cooked bbq chicken/ribs .. yum ... i know they have it elsewhere but I have yet to find it cooked as well anywhere else.
fried peach or pecan pie .. can take it or leave it.
banana pudding ... [sm=smiley20.gif]

Thought sweet iced tea was all over but recently I've come to find it's more of a S.E. thing.

Tacos, tacos, and more tacos!

And of course, anything BBQ. You have not had real BBQ, until you have had mesquite smoked....anything for that matter.

KB, they have sweet tea here, although, I effin hate tea.

Best all around food in the country is in NY, this statement is not up for debate. Please don't upset me by trying.

But regional food,

Catfish in Alabama.
Freshbay scallopsin Montauk,NY
Key lime pie in south Forida/keys.
Chicago Steaks
San Fran chinese

I like grits, they are like mushy polenta.
