This thread reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend about cars that are all primer. "Whoa that thing must be so fast the paint blew right off".
However, with bikes, it drives me nuts to see one in primer, but I realize that everyone doesn't always have the cash or means to repaint right away after they've dumped it, or whatever happened.

really guys who cares how people ride its there bike, skin etc..
its those damn people in cars who pull out not looking and change lanes, ride bikes asses. i mean really how often does a bike crash effect anyone but whos on the bike? never seen any stats on this but unless you wreck and scare someone to death.. like i said i dont know but id imagine people hurt themselves on bikes far more often then they hurt other people.
so unless its your family ie, kids etc who cares how idiots ride just ride your way and enjoy the show LoL

I didn't read through all of this. I ride in large groups, to small groups. My biggest pet peave is someone that 1) can't hold a line, and 2) moves from one lane to the next, passes you, then slows down where you pass him.
The only exception is if I'm with my normal riding group. I can read their body language and predict the movements.
Oh, then there's the guy that thinks he's racing on every stretch of highway there is, tucked in, flying, slowing down so you can catch up, flying...Ahhhrrrrrr

Soccer moms, texting the pool boy. Or the teenage girl playing with her blackberry. Or the old man on his cell phone with tunnel vision. I try to make eye contact with every cage driver that I come up on.

Some of you may not approve of this but...people that are on there cell phones will driving and or not doing speedlimit i drove close to the drivers side door and bang it off the rev limiter hoping i scare the **** out of them or they cant hear on there phone. Ur not driving a ****ing phone booth dumasses!

That is actually my favorite method of getting a drivers attention for many reasons too...
My old 4 into 2 stockies are partially gutted and have a great deep roar.... I recon I have given quite a few drivers near heart attacks doing that ....but it works

iam in the left lane, noone around and dude and his girl apparently had to have that lane ahead of me no less so i went around and tached him up.
dude come flying up to me screaming follow me! so i followwed him for a few @ about 90 in 55, him in a four runner the whole time i was visably pointing down to say stop right here and ill beat your socks off. stoped in the turning lane HE chose to turn off in and watched him drive away slowly motioning me too follow. following is a bad idea. he wanted to shoot me probably.
i coulda made a bad mistake and followed him and got killed or he coulda stopped and got his *** kicked, and maybe shot by me. when rounded the corner i just pulled off and continued on to my favorite backroads where i was headed anyway.
so just be careful doing that, one swerve from that car or truck and any of us could be done for. a 1000 dollar helmet, and 1000 dollar 1-peice suit cant stop a 4500 pound SUV or a 100 grain peice of hot lead, and no bike is out running said hot lead. either way thats what i do also and after yesterday iam still gona do it if they are way in the wrong and coulda used the other lane.

I was driving a loaner car from a car lot with a buddy and our gf's while mine was in the shop one time on the freeway leaving minneapolis, and some dip54it came screaming by me, pulled in front of me and slowed down to slower than I was going. I calmy shifted to the left lane and continued on passing him on the left, switching back to the right lane after I was safely ahead of him. Well this dumba55 apparently decided this was a game now and pulled ahead of me, got in front of me and slowed down again, trying to play leap frog or something with his car.
Needless to say after about 4 or 5 times I was pretty tired of this idiot so I pulled over on the side of the freeway to "discuss" matters with him. It was after midnight, road was pretty empty and obvously it was dark. This guy pulls up about 20 feet behind me, gets out and starts yelling 'You want some of this f^&ker!', pulls out a gun and starts shooting all gangsta style, guns sideways and ****, lol. Needless to say I was a bit surprised, my buddy yells from the pass seat to get back in and get out of here, gf's are just confused, not knowing what was happening anfd I'm just standing there, leaned out the idiots los debating what to do.
After a moment spent deliberating whether to attempt to close with this idiot gangbanger, get in the car and run him down in reverse, or just leave, I got in the car and left. Due entirely to the fact that I had others with me and had to consider their safety. Needless to say I was pretty pissed. This was back before I had a cc permit for mn, lucky for him. If I had been carrying at that moment I would have killed him, without a seconds hesitation. Guy was a horrible shot regardless, shot about 8 rounds and hit the car once. Dunno if he was just trying to shoot to scare or was really that bad, I'm thinking the latter, gangsta sideways shooting is for idiots who watch too much tv.
Moral of the story, people are stupid and you all need to watch your a55es out there, don't ever think it wouldn't happen to you.
