Dude I've been thinking about this all afternoon and I got nothing save for video games and you don't seem the type who wants your kid behind a lcd screen all day :P maybe a wii?

what kind of powerwheels does he have? My son who is now 3, has the f150 truck,(I couldn't find a sliverado..lol) with an opening tailgate, seats two, has reverse and high gear, which actually moves pretty fast. He loves that thing. he loves helping me clean the yard, haul stufff in the bed of it. I did however add a few things. I added real mirrors, headlights, taillights, interior lights, running lights oh, the driving lights too. The factory fake headlights were suprisenly realistic looking, then adding led's really made it look pretty cool. He loves it went its dark out. They don't shine that far, but plenty for him to see. It shines about as much as a few flashlights would. It really is a great choice for a large backyard. I did add a seperate battery for the lights though.

We also have a pw50 and a suzuki lt50 quad. We bought the pw a little too soon as we got a smok'n deal on it and sat on it for a year, but finally gave it to him this past spring. He kind of liked it, thought it was cool, but didn't really like it that much. For his birthday, which was this past summer, I found a great deal on the suzuki. I can honestly tell you he never rides the pw anymore. He never even looks at it. He runs right past it to hop on his quad. We got the suzuki for 500,(great deal again, since it was basically new and nearly 2 grand retail) so it may be a little out of your range that you want to spend, but I would definately keep it in mind if you can save the money up in case a decent deal comes your way.

I would however strongly suggest staying away from the cheap chinese quads. A friend of mine has a 5 year old that has gone through 2 of them in one year. They just fall apart. I've seen them too, and its not the kids fault at all, things are just worn out and really poor designs. He finally bought a used yamaha and has been extremely happy. I'd stick with the top manufacturers for any type of small bike or quad, like yamaha, suzuki, honda, kawasaki, and polaris.

Building things?

a 529 plan is not a bad idea either. We however just created a savings account and put 1,000 a year in it from out taxes. We put money it throughout the year here and there as well when we can.

So, I would suggest getting either a good quality electric RC car, (not a fast one, but a high quality one), or a truck Powerwheels with the high gear.

I do have some sort of savings plan(the shedevil(wife) takes care of that part) for him and his sister idk bout a 529 but we do throw 1k in their accounts from taxes also....

just a - idk if you seen the 1st page but he has a 03 JR50 that he loves and dont know about getting him another bike/quad is in the budget just yet..
and he had the lil raptor that was cool for a min but to be honest he loves his moto for when its time to shredd...thats freckin awsome that you modded ur sons f-150
