what do you consider TOO cold?

I am good down to about 15 degrees or so. That's where the cold starts screwing my eyes up!

Wear sunglasses or clear safety glasses with your helmet. I do and it blocks more air off the eyes. Of course my helmet is a tad too big.
ill ride as long its gunna be around 40 degrees sometime during the day but don't venture out if its lower than 32. I usually just where high socks, leather gloves, textile jacket with sweater underneath. Thats usually pretty comfortable as long as the sun is out

I'm glad I still ride.
I can honestly say I hate San Diego weather. I've been there and stayed there long enough to say that its boring as hell weather. I never rains. I love rain and cloudy skys. Then the ground is freaken brown everwhere you look. Where the hell is the grass? There is none.
I can honestly say I have a biological need for the weather in San Diego. The climate is calm, good-natured, and pleasant--which are exactly the traits I look for in a friend. There are four definite seasons once you're tuned in to the patterns, and that's just it, when it does rain or when the high clouds of May 'gray' and June 'gloom' come in, you appreciate it so much more because of the rarity. And winter's morning fog is the most stunning display of coastal beauty you're ever likely to see. Grass? It's a desert silly, blade grass and even palm trees are not native to the region, but with care and prudence, your range of choices in horticulture are unmatched in the civilized world.
But that's just me. Thankfully not everyone enjoys it, because if they did, whew, it would sure be crowded! Could you imagine all the traffic on I-5? That would just be terr--oh, ahh, nevermind.
Sadly, there's no reason to hate on my location, in fact you should try to find sympathy. I haven't been at home for several years now, what with living in UT, the diametric opposite to everything that is good in the 858: snow, cold, terrible roads, brazen animal-killers, and zombies with too many children. Chronic homesickness is the worst slow death imaginable...*sniff* *crying* *slits wrist*

I enjoy my Hurricanes. When Katrina stoped by I walked outside in the middle of it. Its a really humbling feeling when you say for them. Its like that giant space ship hoving over the white housing in the movie Independence Day.
