I'm 6'3", 190lbs. Good 'n' lanky. I can't tell you why I want a slimmer bike, it's just a feeling thing.

I am about your size. I have owned a F2, F3, F4i, 954rr, 600rr, and rode all of the cbr's except the blackbird. I would go with an '06 f4i. the rc51 eats tires you should stay away from it unless you have some skill also. I also would search on here as there was a member who swapped f4i fairings on an F3 but left the f3 subframe, seat and tail plastic. It looked better than the f4i's and had to be more comfortable.

Sitting on a 954rr with a corbin seat will change your life you will have to own one, but you said you want to stay away from the 1krr and the 954 has just as much power and the power to weight ratio is better than the 1krr.

1 all RR's have split seats

if you are wanting slimmer, get a 07+ 600RR

even though I didn't see you wanted a carb bike, I still recommend a ZZR 600. I loved mine, mods were cheap and engine work was alot easier than my F3

I'm only avoiding th 1k for cost\benefit reasons. I have no need for that level of power, so paying for it would be kind of dumb. If the price was right, I wouldn't shy away from it.

I always worried about the repair costs and parts availability for the European boutique superbikes. . .

Slimmer? The aprilia sxv is only 282lbs. LOL not the bike you are looking for though. Besides those things are beasts.

Looks like you're right; that's the bike I want, aesthetically. There's one on Craigslist out here w 10k miles for $5000. . . seems too good to be true. . .

PG, are you gonna hate me for leaving the F3 scene? I know I o-fficially have the best F3 on the Interwebz, and you guys will have to find someone new to look up to:
