What bike should I get next?

f4is all look the same except in 04-06 they went back to the bannana seat.
as far as "slimmer" id say by feeling yes they feel slimmer and the newer you get the more "track" focused the bike becomes. which means slimmer body, less weight more power, smaller space.
the 03-04 600rr actually uses the same suspension setup as the f4i's it wasnt untill 05-06 that the 600rr got the better components. (upside down forks..etc)
it sounds like your only choice is to get an 03+ 600RR.
you wouldnt like the 929/954/or 1100xx or the rc-51 or the vfr

zzr600 is carbed, which he said he doesn't want
dude it sounds like you want the mythical comfy super sport bike
you're gonna have to give up something, either a bike with a little more bulk or something less comfy
they're pretty much mutually exclusive
i would say 04-06 f4i with the banana seat, it's what i have and i love it
the clip ons are above the triple clamp unlike the rr and has the nice thick seat
you can ride for hours

Went down to the dealer on my lunch break just to poke around. They only had one 600RR there (no interest in a 1k). It was an 03 with the split seat, but I got on it and got the feel of it. That seat is HARD. Other than that, I really like the smaller size of the bike. Way more what i was looking for. It had a 2 bro's slip-on, and vortex rearsets and sliders, power commander, 16k miles, and the left fairing is wrecked from a drop. They wanted $5900, I offered $4500, but they wouldn't take anything below 5k so I walked. They had an f4i as well, I definitely liked the RR better. Incidentally, they also had a Superhawk there, which I've never had the priveledge to actually see in person. Those things are flippin HUGE!
