It's all in the rider. I've seen Harley riders in T-shirts just as often as I've seen Gixxers. The thing is, a lot of the Harley guys aren't pulling wheelies b/c their bikes can't do it. It's all about the rider and their sense of self preservation.

 

Im not saying gixxers are bad bikes, just that they seem to be squid magnets. And if i had known they were easy to finance, I would have had one when I had bad credit and a bad job. So it really makes sense that kids love 'em what with the easy financing and all.

 

Here something that no one has mentioned, the squid rider increases our insurance rates. They go out and become a statistic which gives the insurance companies an excuse to charge us more money.

 

I am going to have to say that it probably just varies region to region. In my town, the majority of people ride Honda. When I think of what bike a squid would purchase/ride I think of 600RR... That is probably due to the factall thefresh outa highschool dikheads have one. Dont get me wrong, I like the 600RR. Just too bad I see them in the wrong hands toooften.

 

apart from my opinion that people that ride without armour are f*cking insane and irrisponsible (just think about it; when you crash, somebody has to clean you up!), it's a bit weird that there aren't any rules about that over there?

Although as far as i know it's only required to have a helmet on, most riders drive with full motorcycle clothing and nothing else; even when just going for the shops to get some chips; statistically, most accidents in holland happen within four miles of your home.

 

I don't understand squids and is it werid that I never see them on Honda's

 

Everyone bashes the GSXR1000 till they ride one.I'm a Honda head at heart but my 06 GSXR1000 is an awesome machine. I don't care about the squids that buy them, that means nothing to me. My GSXR is unique in it's own way, it's my 160 HP supermoto bike..
