Just walking from bike to bike giving out random tickets?!?!?!? What a jerk....[sm=loser.gif] Cops will sit on the side of the road where I live and radar people. They'll pull you over because your going 5 miles an hour over the speed limit....never mind that your a law abiding tax paying productive citizen just trying to get home to take your kids to little league practice....NO NO NO you hardened criminal.

Yeah I'm pretty pissed about the "legality" of his and other's actions.
And yeah, no points or school needed- it's not a moving violation. There's no price on the ticket, although someone else who was ticketed for the same thing moments before he got me told me when he questioned the cop- the cop told him it was an $87 fine... BUT if you "move" the tag and have a cop sign off on it, it's only $7.00..
Still BS. I will zip tie that sucka temp to another spot, have a local sign off on it, and then move the damn tag back. Such crap.

I'm going to be VERY blunt here.
Your plate is mounted illegally. Plain and simple. It's facing down, and tucked underneath the battery box. In every state, that is illegal. Of course you got a ticket for it. You didn't take the time to research the local laws that states what is and isn't an acceptable mounting location. I'm so sick of these threads making cops look like the bad guys when it was YOU who committed the violation in the first place. And just because we ride bikes doesn't mean we can slap our license plates anywhere we damn well please.
So I apologize I'm coming off as rude, but when I hear a bunch of whiners on a thread, pissed off because they break the law and get a ticket for it........................it's just aggravating.
