Shows what would happen if a zombie outbreak took place, pretty cool stuff. It explains why zombies don't need the necessitates usually needed to survive.

It is under the humor section in book stores so it is improbable to ever happen.
lol not downgrading your choice of readings man hah was just lookin to crack a joke

5000 years is a long time, and based on the current facts, there are no factually known extra terrestrials or "aliens". And last time i checked no dogs, cats, or hellios even dolphins are taking over the world.

As to attempting to say my comment was arrogant... lol no ide say optimist, and factual. What kinda pessimistic human being would hope, expect, or want to be and the end of some "aliens" weapons?

Wow this thread really took off. lol. No luck today. Made a day of it. packed a lunch and everything. Sat for twelve house and I saw 10 birds, 2 chipmunks and on other hunter. I agree with the too many idiots in the woods during the michigan gun season but I didn't get to spend alot of time out during bow season so I'll take what I can get.

You sat for twelve hours.....WOW, i go before daylight til around 10 and right before dusk til dark but never done that long of a hunt.

Down here this time of year their coming out just before dawn or right after dusk. Waiting on RUT for them to start stirring and chasing them does. My camera also picks up a ton of does at around 2am.

I usually see them right after sun up and between ten and eleven. Normally I would head in around noon and back out around four but when you're hunting state land in michigan you never know what someone who is headed back to their spot at two might kick up your way. I've seen deer in the middle of the day on opening day more times than I can remember

Especially on the first day. Once the shots start going off, deer are everywhere at anytime of the day. Theres always a chance a hunter going in at noon is going to kick one your way.

I really got out of rifle hunting because of the idiots. I can't count how many times during prime time, some chucklehead would be "still hunting", only making more noise than a heard of buffalo. Then see me, and think its a good idea to walk over and stike up a conversation about how there aren't any deer, because he had walked at least 5 miles and hasnt seen anything..

Haven't been bow hunting yet, i am pretty good shooting targets with it....buts a different ball game 15' up in a tree when a big buck or doe walks out. Props on filling all your tags with a bow justasquid.
Honestly, I think its easier than rifle hunting, well at least more enjoyable for me anyway. I see way more deer. I also pass on a lot of deer and just watch them the majority of the time. Its no where near as cold, so the amount of time able to be spent in the woods is much more. Plus, deer are moving a lot more throughout the day versus rifle season, where they seem to move the first hour of light and last ten minutes of light. I've had success from ground blinds, tree stands.. even hollowing out large hay bales in the middle of a field. The better you can blend to the natural surrounding, the better.

One thing I would suggest if you do decide to take up bow hunting is to practice sitting down in a chair. Pulling back a bow standing is a lot easier than while sitting. It'd be a bummer to get to the woods only to find out you can't pull the bow back when it counts.

Haven't hunted since the late eighties when my son left home. He and I were the only members of the family interested in hunting, and the only ones the enjoyed venison. I never found someone else that liked to hunt my way, which is to park the truck and walk. Or felt that trying a four hundred yard shot at a running deer and wounding it was wrong. A couple had no respect for the land they were allowed to hunt or didn't really worry about whose land they were on. Then after a friend hunting alone had a heart attack in the middle of nowhere it just seemed foolish to be out there without a buddy. My friend made it, by the way. A game warden found him sitting by the deer and got him to town.

I miss hunting, though. Not the killing, but being out walking the fields, listening to the absence of people, and finally, the taste of well prepared venison. Elk is even better.

Your point is valid. Although it might be a good thing if more people understood just where their groceries come from. Everyone once in a while a story rises that indicates some people feel groceries come from a magical back room in grocery stores.
