To wave or not to wave?

In regards to waving, if there is another sportbike/dual sport or a "non-cruiser" I stick my hand out. If it is a Harley or a cruiser, I wave like an idiot to get their attention and see if they wave back.
Divided Highway or not, I still show acknowledgement that I see them. That was my understanding, besides respect, was that it is showing the other person you see them. What I hate is when another motorcycle rider and myself cross paths(regardless of bike) and I wave and they don't do anything or just wave back, and up the road is police. That's a dick move if you ask me.

Hey bro montana go to your "user cp" and u can adjust the settings so u dont have to read every page, you can adjust it so it puts 40 posts (I think) and then it will move to the next page... much easier...

Don't mind the wave but usually give a nod. Seems to be easier plus both hands stay right where they should be. This late in the riding season respectful or not, waving all the time does get pretty old.
Maybe we can make it so by August 1st "Waving Season" can be over until the next spring lol?
