Watch Out For....
idiots on bikes. A few days ago, I took the bike to hit some back roads. Left the house at about 7:30p, and it was going to get dark soon, so I was on the lookout for deer. Went to my favorite road and made a pass then turned around. On my way back I saw a bike's headlight way back. Well, he must have seen me and hauled *** to catch up. So, I'm cruising at about 40mph and still looking for deer. Usually go a little faster on this road in the daylight. Anyway, this clown is right up my *** at an uncomfortable distance, but I don't think too much about it. Come around a left hand sweeper and I see two deer right on the road about 75 feet up. So, I get on the brakes firmly, but not too much as I'm just comming out of the corner. I keep on them and slow down nicely to avoid mr. and mrs. deer. I get to a roll as I'm approaching the deer, which are both just standing there looking at me, when all of the sudden I hear this clown behind me lock up one of his tires and I hear a "screeeeech". I thought, "oh hell, I'm gonna get hit". So I hit the gas and swerve past the deer, and then one of the deer is running with me on my left. It was so close I could have reached out and grabbed it. All the while I'm checking the mirrors and I can't see this guy, meaning he was dead square behind me and close, so I just hit it and pulled away.
So I take off back to normal, except a little slower now, and this guy is still riding up my ***! Hasn't he learned anything about what just happened? So we get to a straight and I just wave him by. I don't want this idiot behind me anymore. Almost got taken out by him already, that's enough. So, he passes me and he's some kid on a mid 90's beater gsxr with t-shirt, shorts and sneakers. Only helmet. So he goes flying up the road and never saw him again.
I mean seriously, didn't he learn to watch out as there might be more deer or other animals? It amazes me how stupid some riders are. Deer don't know any better, not sure what his excuse is.
