Wanna know the truth?

Well I dont believe in laws to protect me from me. Like the seatbelt law. WTF would a state require by law you wear your seatbelt but not a helmet? Both should be law or both shouldnt be. Governments are so stupid some tymes.[:@]

Yeah, you need to weara seatbelt by law because you can't make decisions for yourself, but you can call the shot on a helmet go figure. It should be a choice. I believe thats is what freedom is all about.
wait wait wait...i thought squid stood for....serious quick until i die...you don't have to be going quick to do a wheelie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol just thought i'd stir things up
I think that helmets should be mandatory in all 50 states. Recently my gf went out without a helmet a couple times and I jumped her ***. She asked me if I went with all my gear all the time and I replied of course I do. A helmet saved my life. I refuse to go to any place without my gear.

That's a cute reply, but hardly makes any kind of point at all...that's all you got?

1. It isn't always the cagers fault!
I see more idiotic riders than I do *cagers* out there. BTW, using the term cager makes you sound like a 10 year old trying to make a point.
2. Not all gixxer riders are squids
Many of the best riders I know, on and off the track ride gixxers and ride better than most people here ever will. There are a great number of squids on Hondas as well.
3. You are not cool because you post a *top speed* thread
True, in fact you sound like a moron craving attention. People that talk about hitting these speeds on the street are the true squids (see #2 above).
4. Chrome wheels and extended swingarms do not make you a bad person or a squid
Customizing bikes is a very personal thing and if you don't like what someone else has done to THEIR bike, tough ****.
5. I am not an a$$hole
I just play one on TV.

Well I was just gonna 'fess up and admit to what i would imagine almost everyone on here does. I dont always wear my gear, If I'm just running to the store or a cruise in the neighborhood, I'll put on a helmet but not my jacket. I sometimes ride in shorts. I exceed the speed limit on a regular basis, but not triple digits (usually). Although its not legal where I live I still split lanes when I'm in a hurry and I'm runnin late for work. So yeah, call me an idiot or whatever. And to those who consistently ride with all their gear on - thanks keep up the good work, you really do make the rest of us look better.
To make it really simple... there are good people and stupid/idiots/bad people. It doesn't matter if they're on a bike or in a car... problem is that it seems bikes attract more idiots than cars. I think it is price tag and accessability.
There is the civic crowd - generally Mom/Dad's car, or a beater that they could afford as a year round driver with a fart can. Nothing wrong with civics (seen some high end stuff that was pretty cool), it's just the price tag. Something cheap you can buy.
Then the bike crowd. Where else can you get this much performance for $2000-5000? Pick up a used 600 and have the power to weight in excess of most exotic cars.
Then you get the idiots with money... and usually you can see them a mile away. They can be driving anything, but what ever it is, it's flashy in it's own way.
Don't blame the gsx-r, or the civic - blame society.
It's almost like we need an idiot test... fail it and you don't get to drive.
