Most all of the Mitsus I've ever seen have had some sort of major issue or another, be it reliability or longevity.
I love the Evolution and think it's on-paper, a slightly better performer than Subaru's STi, but Subuaru, while quirky, is known for their durability, reliability and tenacity. That is why I bought an STi rather than an Evo.
/tangent. LOL

Not trying to stir the pot but IMO, that's because it's a Mitsubishi.

Owning a Mitsubshi is like a Love and Hate Relationship. They stink. But if you build them right and dont Beat the **** out of them. Thier good cars. I built that motor in 2010. I only have 3500 miles on it. Great weekend car with blue skies is the only time I bring it out. I added couple pics to earlier post.

Another little issue with mitsus round here is that they rot. Those bodypanels are like tinfoil, finding a mitsubishi here from the early 90s that HASN'T been welded at least once is like chasing unicorns... My Volvo on the other hand is 14 years of age and not a single spot of rust even with nearly half a million on the clock.

Anyway this thread could be merged with https://cbrforum.com/forum/off-topic-6/vehicles-128581/ ??
I almost just posted a link to this thread when he started the other one.
But then that may have taken some extra work to find the link.
All good now, though.
