Default For the Valentino Rossi fans

Seems that Rossi is an Al Capone, in the sense he doesn't like to pay taxes. Just read in Cycle World that he's being "hounded by the country's IRS equivalent for back taxes, to the tune of at least $60 million and perhaps as much as $150 million..... "

Could you imagine having a fine like that... This is over taxes since 2000, so if that's 30% of what he made, then I'd like to have that fine.

Edit: Just re-read the article... It doesn't clearly state that the fine is for this amount, so I wonder if they mean that he owes back taxes on 60 to 150 mil?

He's not totally, truly arrogant, but when you mix a high degree of skill and success with a Latin-Italian temperament, it comes across to Westerners as conceit. Italians live and die by their heroes and Rossi is right up there with even the most hallowed Formula One names. Sure, sometimes he's a dick, but imagine having millions of people across the planet dying to know you're every move, hounding you wherever you go a thousand times worse than any U.S. paparazzi? You'd be a dick too. As for the back taxes, Italy's government has its own problems keeping honest, it may be a ploy to get some cash; if you pick up the phone directory in Monaco, it reads like a who's who of the worlds motorsports stars because Monte Carlo residents are exempt from income tax. Rossi should be commended for still living next door in his home country!
