Two Dead last night
In Atlanta on I-285E a group of dumbasses decided to make the rest of us look stoopid. Two of them decided to lane split at over 100mph -- guy in front bounced off the car and took out the guy in back. One died at the scene and the other at the hospital. All the cagers interviewed have an extremely jaded view of sportsbikes now. Gee, just what we need. The kicker? If you really gotta get around someone on that stretch of interstate there are TWO emergency lanes. I rode by the scene on the way from work -- one of the bikes must have been orange and gotten dragged about 300 yards into a concrete barrier. Didn't see anything of the other bike.
I don't mean to be cold or cruel but stuntin in the middle of frikkin traffic is just stupid. You know at 11PM traffic was light and they were just trying to outdo each other and the group.
God speed to them -- the living have to pay for their stupidity and get chills everytime I ride by now.

To all my fellow riders out there...be safe...be safe...be safe! The summer is among us and any idiot with a little leftover income tax will end up next to you on the road. It's how you handle yourself determines if that same idiot ends up next to you in the E.R. or not.
RIP to the riders. Everyone think about what you are doing, before you do it. Wear your gear and ride safe. It's that time of year again where everyone is taking the bikes out again and just wants to have fun.
