Tree 1, me 0
So I'm taking my turns...hitting the straights...everything is going nice and smooth. The weather is absolutely beautiful. It couldn't be going any more smoothly. I'm out there in my shorts, t-shirt and earbuds blasting whatever song I have on my MP3 player. I've done this run at least 50 times or more...Smooth sailing. Then it happened. I zoned out...wasn't concentrating on the task at hand. I look up and see a very low hanging bough. It's always been there, I've always known about it, but this time, it is too late. There is nothing that I can do...my hands leave the controls and come up to protect my face...I feel the leaves and twigs scrap all over me. With no hands on my controls, I come out the other side and roll right into the brush filled with sticker bushes. I come to halt. My hands are scratched up my legs took a sticker or two..but over all I'm ok...I glance over my shoulder to see if anyone saw this embarrassing foray with the tree.
Fortunately, there is nothing else wrong and I let go of the brake and slow let my riding lawn mower cut a swath through brush that hasn't been mowed in 4 yrs.

and thats why you dont wear shorts, bet even jeans would have protected you a million times better.
that and the MSF woulda taught you to just duck your head and keep your hands on the controls.

Been there and done that, only in my case, my son is usually on my lap and pulls down the branches that whack me. Maybe not full leathers, but I've considered a helmet many times.
Glad you're alright woo...
