i have the same story.
comming home from a riding buddys house, i was speeding but holding it at 4g jus "putting along" as im approaching a passing car i see those damn low profile led light bars, change to the right lane, and pull into a parking lot, knowing i amd getting pulled over, lights come on as i am pulling in. turn the bike off, and just sit there waiting for him to come up, asks for the usual stuff, while im taking my helmet and gloves off he asks "is your bike stock?" no sir, i just have a slip on and cosmetic stuff, do you ride sir? "i just sold me gsxr 750, changed the sprokets, put white gxsr1k rims on it, yoshi pipe and a k&n" he goes to run my info, comes back im just writing you a warning but just try to keep it down a bit on your way home.. "how fast was i going sir?" 53 in a 30.. anyways, a bunch more bike chit chat abotu him riding wheelies and hitting the 610 loop(if your from houston im sure you hear about the ppl doin 140 around the loop) as im gearing up he hands me a flyer for a benifit car show for a girl with cancer, i told him to expect a bunch of bikes comming out to show support and what not. as he is leaving he says "goes to show ya, not all cops are ********" ha
i think he just pulled me over because he wanted to check out my bike haha

thats a really cool story urandaman....yes sometimes people can be nice....i was very happy to say the least and will certainly slow down.....over time i get going too fast, and a warning is the only reality check i need for awhile...not a ticket.

see that is right because you werent endangering anyone you were just cruising.
Wrong answer, the law doesn't state that you have to be endangering anyone else. The OP got lucky, nothing else. If you speed and you get caught you get the ticket, no whining allowed.

no one is disputing the law, and no one is whining, but its obvious there is a difference between 60mph in a 45 on a back country road at 7am and 60mph in a 45 in traffic weaving between cars at rush hour......one of those 2 is far less dangerous for the ones around you.

Too bad you weren't wearing a bikini top underneath your jacket...that helps a lot!
