as for cost. 200 for track day fee, 70 in gas to get up there. 25 on misc food and drink, my buddy brought a whole lot of stuff, 2300 for an enclosed trailer hahah i bought one to make my track days cheaper, and moving easier, my buddy paid for hotel, the diner the night before and gas home. gas for the bike at the track was about 40-50 bucks. worth every penny.
I have a funny story about this track myself. I was making a cross country trip on my F3 from Salem, OR to Washington, DC. I had just made a 5 day stay at Shasta Lake and was on my way again to stay with a friend in Modesto, CA. Im cruising along and all of a sudden, the bike dies as I am rolling down I-5. I push my bike up to the Wal-Mart completely perplexed as to what just happened. I determined that the bat was dead and looked in Wal-Mart for a bat with no luck. I was sitting on a curb with the bike torn apart and this couple pulls up in a molester van saying "Hey Dude, you gotta problem." I figured, what the hell, strangers have the best candy... right? I tell them the problem and they tell my there is a race going on just down the road. Looking around and seeing nothing but sunflower fields in every direction... I dont think a dirt track will have a battery I need. The guy tells me its a road track and so we load me and the bike into their van and they snuck me into the track. I ended up hanging out there all day because by the time I had the bat charged, it was 113 degrees and just to damn hot to be riding with leathers that had no ventilation. That is a wicked course! I loved the little twisties (turns 4, 5, 5a) just after the crest of the hill in front of the tower. Saw quite a few bikes go off the track there.

the track isnt as technical as ud think. too bad you cant c turn 2 it is amazing as well as turn 6. im glad thunderhill could help you out with a battery and they were able to sneak you in. sounds like you had quite the adventure!
