Default Track day!

Did my first track day over the weekend. These photos are from the track photog:

What I THOUGHT was hanging off a lot, wasn't that much at all. Still can hang off a little more. With that in mind, about 3/4 through the day, touched my knee down for the first time. After that, dragging consistently through the same turn for the rest of the day. Right knee still a virgin

You should. You learn SO much about your bike and riding technique. To learn the same things on the street would be dangerous and unsafe, IMO. I'm officially a track addict now...all I want to do is ride the track to practice...I can't even look at street riding the same anymore.

There's your warning: one track day, you'll be hooked!

Awesome man!! Nice pics too! The feeling of dragging a knee sure will be great though!

Lookin good man! Did you use race tires or street? Was there a class that taught you techniques and what not? Also how long have you been riding previously?

Something needs to be done about the site...I've been trying to post since last night..just wouldn't allow it..

dinez74:
I will admit it was a little scary at first. I was just in position and concentrating on corner speed, before I knew it, touched. Later on, you just get the hang of it.

whtan20:
I am on street tires, Pirelli Diablo. Been riding about 1 year, 5000 miles. 90% of those miles on canyon roads (which I can never look at the same again...) . Some track days incorporate an instructional portion, the one I attended did not.

I, too, am becoming a junkie!
