Default RE: Torque Wrench

I have put the clutch bolts back in without a torque wrench everytime and have never warped a plate. I have shredded plates, but that is because of stunting and drag launches.

With a even pull the wrench should actually click (maybe as loud as a zippo lighter opening)and you will feel the handle give a little as it breaks past the point of torque.

Test it out on a larger bolt 1/2" maybe and set it to 20lbs to get the feel for what it does when torque is met.
Im not trying to be an *** or anything but the size of the bolt doesnt matter, Its the grade of the bolt. You can have a really high grade bolt that is really small and it will stand up to more force than a really big bolt that is low grade.

He's just stating the universal way to test it. Its on every torque wrench book. Giving that the bolts are the same grade, the bigger one will withstand more torque.
