^^ Have to agree with a lot of the Anti-American rhetoric they use in the show, but you can also pick up on just how much pride they have in their own country. But I don't take any of that personally, because even though they rag on us a lot, the majority of it is true, we just don't want to hear or believe it.
+1 here... It's embarrassing to look at the average size and fuel consumption of an average European car compared to the gas guzziling, under-performing, soccer mom tanks zooming around America's freeways. [:@]

And being a bunch of dumbasses we continue to buy more trucks than cars and we bitch about gas prices!!! [&:]

I honestly don't think the show ragging on you guys is serious, it's all just part of the humour and they do it to other countries too, it's all just meant to be harmless fun, they even send themselves up plenty lol...

By the way, we're not a crummy little country!

Jules x

OK, crummy was a little too much, I'm sorry... how about 'out of touch, smug normal sized country'!

So...we're crazy huh!?...lol

I do like the show, it's funny and the humour is clean...

Yes, we are! Moved here three years ago from Dorset and miss the humour and the people most of all. As my mate Mike from Manchester (now living in Maine!) says, "I miss the crack!"

bluefox as soon as i saw your sig for the first time i just knew it had to be from top gear. i laughed when i saw it. i am guesing its them making fun of porshe.
No, not really making fun of the Porsche.......it was one of the best introductions to a car I've ever seen on that show so far. Jeremy was talking about how the Audi is without fault, then it cuts to a shot of Hammond in the car saying "rubbish", then you see the Porsche come sliding behind the Audi. Kind of like "oh s**t here he comes" type of shots. Awesome episode. It was from Season 10, Episode 2...........they're starting season 10 tonight on BBC America, so probably next week you'll get to see the Audi duke it out with the Porsche.
