Yea i've been to normandy beach as well. That place really makes you take a step back and reflect what so many others have done for this country.

Thanks for the clarification, all. I suppose I could've just looked it up myself, but reading it from people's 'mouths' puts some feeling into it.

txn, that was very well said, I know the feeling of comraderie and helping out a brother/sister and it really is a strong bond. Well done.

On that note, RIP all soldiers, known and unknown.

Gotta love those Cruisers. I did the 5 years on the Bunker Hill and 4 years on the Lake Champlain. By far my favortite platform... Busy as hell the whole time but the crew was tight. Don't F*** with 'em, they'll take a small nation out...

I was an O.S. 3 so thats kinda funny. ah the good ole Lake Champlain, I had to go to A.S.W school with those guys, we had a blast.
