I went from a PC to a Mac. So far, so good. I'm really enjoying it right now. Quite a few things to get used to that are way different, but there are many things a PC can't do as well, or nearly as easy.

Anyone else running a Mac that can give me any pointers??

Where should I put it?

 

On a hard flat surface. Never on a bed/sheets or your lap. Most laptops have the "inlet" cooling on the bottom. Plus, fuzz and **** will collect in the fan/heatsink.


Personally I like to stick my pubes in peoples laptops, but hey. That's just me.

 

Once you go mac, you go deaf! No really, Macs are the only way to go. Never get a virus again, tech support in english, programs that you can actually get rid of, amazing **** streaming quality, did I mention tech support in english, warranties that the company stands behind, accessory products that actually do what they are advertised to do. Seriously we have four macs in my house, you will never go back... I would recommend keeping the PC close by until you learn all about the mac, but serisouly, if you learn how to tame it, you will be so loyal its not even funny.

My biggest pointer to you is this. If you dont know, use the damn help search. Its all the way on the right, when you are in 'finder'. It actually works, like, for everything, its the magic eight ball of your mac, and it never lies, EVER.

+1... Look at it this way, its like buying a honda, once you get one, you will never go back, the reliability and awesomeness is too great, but then again so many tards still ride gixxers.

 

I'm a gamer, so no mac'eeeeees for me.

 

So what do you recommend setting on your lap for your laptop?

 

I balance with my peter but hey, thats just me.



Just board thing or use a tv tray. If you're laying in bed, then use one of those little breakfast trays that sits over you.
