Have you locked up the back tire at all recently? Locking up the tire would do that. Coming to a stop or something, if you locked it up, it could potentially put a small slice in it such as that, just from the wear from the road.
The cutsseem to be tooclean to be from the road. And they are all the way around the tire.

I have the same tires on my bike and they have over 3k on them and they don't have any slices like that.

The recall was for th front tire only-not the rear and that was over a year ago so I doubt that's the problem. I would take the bike to the dealer you got the tires from and show them.

my rear power looks like it has the same thing going on..its not a split or anything in mine its just a darker line that runs around, if its the same thing going on as mine i dont think theres anything to worry about

Thanks guy's for your input.

The line all the way around the tire has been there from day one. I have noticed this line with previous PP's. The others are more like actuall seperations or cuts. The best way I can describe it, is that it looks like it was cut with a razor blade in multiple places around the tire.

I have not had to stop hard nor have I locked up the rear. I have not burned them off either. So this is a mystery to me.

It has progressively gotten worse with the mileage added.

I will be taking the bike back to the dealer asap to have them look at it. I am not happy with this particular dealer, so I think I will play a little hard ball with getting it replaced. For safety sake!

UPDATE!

For those who might give a crap.

I finally got a chance to take the tire into the dealer I bought them from. No questions asked, they put the bike up on the lift and installed a new one. The manager said he had never seen anything like it before. He said he did not want to see my riding another mile on it. Good service, I thought my last visit was going to bethe last. But I think I will give them another try. They had the new tire on in less than a half hour from the time I walked through the door. Pulled a bike off of a lift just to get mine taken care of.

Time to scrub in another one!

Thats awsome! Glad to see the dealer stand behind their product and not giving you the run around.
