Yer .. I went to counseling regarding my ex and our split years ago mate ..
I found that all I got was yet another persons opinion..
Counseling has definatly got its place for those with very hard problems and issues , but at the end of the day, counseling is just that in most cases ...another persons point of view..
Right + wrong are just a case of personal perception or a point of view mate ..
Be careful as to who you see and only take what they say on board as yes , another opinion , but thats all ...
may I ask what the issues you have are related too??

All you need do if its your stress levels is go join a stress management group.
You will find probably those types of groups at your college..
What happens in those groups mostly is just discussion , group or in private with the counselors..
The idea of these groups is that once you feel like you are not alone with all your problems , you will feel a little better about your situation mate..
Life can be a fairdinkum bitch to handle for most of us on occassion mate ....you are not alone and group discussions may help you ..
They will also get into problem solving with you to help you with specific issues ..
I have a saying regarding problems that I live by ..
[align=center]You can just have the problems .... ?
or you can have the problems and worry yourself to death over them ..
The decision between the 2 is yours
I choose the later mate
[align=left]The skill you need to master is how to let go to some extent, some of the worries till you get around to dealing with them one by one mate ..

All that happens is the body gets used to them and then you have another little problem to add to your already stressed head mate ..
This may sound a bit out their, but, meditation of any type does help ...
In reference to my last reply mate regarding having the problem and choosing to worry about or not ..
Meditation, even if its in the form of just sitting quietly in a nice place and shutting your mind down for a few minutes each day .. will help..
It trains your mind to relax and you get short periods of relief ... try it ..it cost nothing and you can do it anywhere ..
We all do it to some extent each day anyway... ( its called blanking out , or day dreaming )
I always go sit at the beach when **** gets to me too much...its a type of meditating , by just relaxing , mindlessly sitting staring out into the water ..
