I hated to feeling of having my whole arm numb. I had a similar procedure to what you haddone and couldn't wait for the nerve block to wear off. The pain was far better to me than that feeling of having a useless arm that felt bloated and weighing a ton. Good luck with the recovery JD. It's going to bea slow process, but I'm sure they warned you about that.Just take the PT seriously and you'll be fine and back riding in no time.

 

its really a terrible feeling. i mready for it to go away. now it feels like my whole arm fell asleep...which i think is why i cant sleep? maybe?

Well at least its over Schmidty, a few days of swelling and youll be on the path to a good arm again. Screw that clothed crap, we gotta see some sutures!

Edit: Hope you have a comfy recliner to pass out in for a week, try two broken arms at one time...lying down was a joke! It will all be over with in no time

ahhh. numbness wore off..i cant beleive i thought i could do this without pain meds. oxycotin is some strong crap to. to strong for me..which is good. i dont feel like i will get hooked on these.

Please verify you have oxycodone...not oxycotin. cotin is way overkill and you sould request something less if your havein addiction issues. I remember when I broke my arm months ago when they switched me to percs (oxycodone), my pain dropped a lot compaired to the morphine IV.

 

the morphine iv made me very nauseated. and sorry..just looked at the sheet. yes, oxycodone. i take 4 5mg tabs. every 4 hours. with some other pain killer. you think it would knock me out..but i cant sleep. its cause my annoying sister is home. she just sits around all day with the volume full blast. and shes one of those annoying people who screams when something good or funny happens on tv.. so i wake up to OMG! NOW WYAZZ every 5 minutes. and i had 2 prepared meals so i would make it through the day with food since im on my own..she ate both of them this morning...she had em down bfore 10:00. WTF. i just want to sleep. i wish she would leave. or go in the damn basement..but nooo "its to cold" im gonna slap a bitch.
