In 2006 (2007 isn't in yet), GM spent 1.3 Billion on advertising in the US. They sold about4 millionvehicles here so advertising adds about 325 dollars to the cost of every vehicle sold. GM is, by the way, the heaviest automotive spender in the US.

WOW to both posts. And if the auto workers did not get paid so much for doin g so little the cars might not cost as much. I know alot of auto worker and they brag that they don't do much at work.

Cars; no ads means less sales means less volume means higher production costs means higher cost to end consumer.
