SuperBikes 4 July
Ya know, some people are taking things way too personally around here... just remember we all have our opinions. But I don't think there's any reason for us to be calling each other names and telling people to "shut the hell up". I think those people need to spend more time on their bike and less time on the computer.
But since I am at work and can't ride, time for a quick moment of hypocrisy:
I take exception to the comment about how Britton "is more accomplished then all of you guys, not just in riding but everything else." Yes he is a better rider than I will ever be, but how do you know what I have done in my life and what I do for a living? You don't have the slightest clue. So don't go spouting off just because you can copy and paste a guy's bio from the internet. I wonder how good of a structural engineer Jason Britton is?!?!? Oh wait, didn't he design the Empire State Building? The Golden Gate Bridge? The ancient pyramids of Egypt? Damn HE IS MORE ACCOMPLISHED THAN ME... "I BOW AT YOUR FEET MR. BRITTON"! [sm=hail.gif]
Oh and another thing Knight, be careful - I think Jason Britton is a member on this forum... he might track you down and kill you for the comments you made!

the show was to show you the difference between track days and riding on the street. the track day costed him 500$$$$$ and the ticket costed what 150$$. hmmm ... at 350 a weekend for a track day it would be 18,200$$$$$$$$$ for a year. or you could risk a couple of tickets. hahaha ...... well its great that you think jason britton is a idiot because he is more accomplished then all of you guys , not just in riding but everything else. he used to be a champion kick boxer, a expert dirtbike rider, a movie stunt man, and he rides bike for a living so what can you say to that???

Jason Britton grew up in Huntington Beach, California. It was here that he started riding motorcycles at the age of two. While most babies were throwing tantrums on the floor, Britton was already on a bike (without training wheels). By ten, he was BMX racing. At the age of twelve, while his peers were popping pimples, he was popping wheelies and racing moto-cross. Racing wasn’t enough, because one year later, he achieved expert status in the 80 cc class. What does one do after two years of successful racing at the age of sixteen? Move onto street bikes of course.
Now an expert rider, Britton has taken his riding talent and skills in extreme sports to another level—it’s now an art form. He takes on challenging Hollywood stunt roles, doubling for Ice Cube in films such as “Torque,†and stunt work in “Biker Boys.â€
Jason still keeps it real. Now a seasoned rider/entertainer, he still finds the time to collect bikes and make extreme videos. His “No Limit†riding style can be seen on many extreme videos such as “Urban Assaultâ€, “All Twisted and Pucked-Upâ€, “Urban Assault IIâ€,“Get On Up â€, “Revolution Twenty 04â€, and soon to be released “Get on Up IIâ€. You can still find him in shows and stunt competitions both locally and nationally, or local bike night.
i am sick of hearing stuff about all the stunters. they make money riding bike do you?? it was not only jason britton going 120 on the freeway they ALL were so dont act like it was only him. if you dont like the way people ride there bike just sell yours and buy something else man... if you never speed on your bike then go buy a goldwing trike.... otherwise shut the hell up and let us ride OUR bikes they way we want to... nobodys says how stupid you ride so you shouldnt say stuff about other people... plus you would never say that **** to jason britton cause he would kill you he aint no small boy...

I don't care that he's a professional. That's great for him, good job. Whatever. What I don't get is why as a "pro" in his sport nobody expects him to act like a professional. He doesn't act like a professional at all. He acts like every other squid that showed his girlfriend how cool he is because he can do a wheelie or hit a freeway at 120 Mph. Honestly, I would expect more from a professional from any profession.
If he wants to be that way on his own time then he can have at it. But this a rare opportunity to promote the sport that has made him what he is. So far he's done stunts illegally and been pulled over for a ridiculous speeding ticket. As a sport bike rider I don't want this guy representing me. I'd rather have a true professional, whether that be a stunter, track rider, weekend warrior, etc.
"the track day costed him 500$$$$$ and the ticket costed what 150$$. hmmm ... at 350 a weekend for a track day it would be 18,200$$$$$$$$$ for a year. or you could risk a couple of tickets.
i was joking about that hence the hahaha at the end. you can do a track day if you want that is your choice, i myself just dont think it is worth the money, (tires, replacing fluids, full leathers, boots,etc...)
I don't think he's an idiot because he's successful, i think he's an idiot because he lacks the quality that makes sport bike riders different; responsibility. Lead by example.
so are you telling me you have never done anything wrong on your bike, never broke the speed limit???
"they make money riding bike do you??"
No, i don't. I work in advertising. they work in entertainment. I fail to see your point.
thats why you dont have a tv show hmmmmmm
"i am sick of hearing stuff about all the stunters.
I'm sick of hearing about stunters too. not just the ones that get paid to do it, but especially the ones who ride around acting retarded in traffic.
you know if somebody want to stunt there bike and gets hurt then thats there problem, but what i wanna know is , why is it when somebody wants to go carve some corners and gets hurt everybody is so sympathetic???
"it was not only jason britton going 120 on the freeway they ALL were so dont act like it was only him.
does, "He had to be going 120 to catch up to us" sound like everyone was doing 120? Not to me. If they were, he wouldn't be able to catch up, would he? No.
what i am saying smartass is, kiggy said "However, that Jason Britton guy had to go 120 mph on a freeway in traffic and got a ticket and a court date for it. Of course he's laughing and giggling about it in the show. That guy is an idiot. So far he's not represented his sport/profession well at all. They need to get someone else."
Jason was not the only one going 120 actually i seen most of the people there had tickets.
"nobodys says how stupid you ride so you shouldnt say stuff about other people..."

britton is on the damn show and that is it. if you dont like him being on the show dont ****ing watch it. i know you guys are angels on your bikes and dont ever do anything wrong, but if i was that big of a ***** i wouldnt own a bike.
"plus you would never say that **** to jason britton cause he would kill you he aint no small boy... "
He could care less, and so could i.
so why is everybody running there mouth about it???
Man, it sounds like someone might be in love with Jason Britton.

I didn't read any of this above except the first three, and all i can say is i am Pissed off, Someone in my household took the season(DVR/Tivo) pass off on superbikes and i missed the 4th july episode....Gay thing is that my t.v scans ahead weeks at a time and there are NO re-runs for this one but next weeks episode has a rerun everynight at 10pm....WTF
Does anyone have a tv card by chance that can up0load it? Or any links it would be greatly appreciated....

That sucks HighRevver. I could have sworn they've had at least one rerun on this week. Don't know why your Tivo didn't pick it up.
Hey, I'm not taking things personally, and I'm far from being "Anti-Stunter". If you think about it, I'm just the opposite. Because as long as stunters are perceived as irresponsible risk-takers that put themselves and others in harm's way there will never be a place for them in civilized society.
Now, if Jason Britton got on this show to describe all the steps he's taken to open legal stunting areas across the country, or if he provided some information that demonstrated that stunting can be done legally and doesn't harm anyone then I would say he's good for his sport.
Be he's not doing these things is he. He's popping wheelies are freeways and getting tickets for going 120 MPH on busy streets. These are all the reasons why people dislike stunters.
Nice job Jason. Hell of wheelie dude.

KIG is right, JB needs to represent the sport more positively - seeing as though he's one of the best. The things he's doing could set "us" back instead of giving "us" a boost in the eyes of the media and society in general.
i dont mind the show, imo anything about street bikes and im gonna watch it. i just wish they hadn't cancelled Two Wheel Tuesday. i've been watching it for about the past year and a half - two years and i miss the show.
